

memories of dreamsI see him as I walk towards the edge of the pier. waiting, just like always. even when i'm not late, he's always waiting. He turns just as I approach him, ruining the surprise. His tanned face seems blank for a second, and then his eyes smile, mouth following. "I heard you," he explains, reaching out for me. Funny, I hadn't thought my footstep fell so loudly. I manage a small smile and return the hug he offers. I turn to walk down the pier the other way, towards the beach, along the water. He follows, next to me- not following really, more walking by my side. He offers me his jacket as I've foolishly dressed for the summer day, which is quickmemories of dreams
